Sorry i haven't update in awhile, if you read my last update there were tons of events to cover and little time.





UNITED STATES UNIVERSITIES ACCEPTANCE!

First off, I GOT INTO A US UNIVERSITY! to be more specific Wichita State University, Kansas

But who in the right mind would allow me to study in their educational institution? Like come on, My blog name is cheesay unicorn, unfortunately, blog resume's are not included in the university application so i'm safe as long as they don't see this. But i might choose to go to Australia, in Brisbane at Queensland University. Hmmmmm a chance to go to Oz (kansas is known for its tornadoes) or go to the land of kangaroos...tempting decisions isn't it?

And thus a witch on a bike in a middle of a tornado, makes your argument invalid!

I da cheesay unicorn ITS JUST A NAME is now writing reviews in another blog with my partner Salmon.

Dance@live
Owh, where do i start..... for those that don't know what Dance@live is, its a dance competition that happens worldwide like Juste Debout and KOD. (You can search it up). They get champions for B-boy, Hip-hop, popping or freestyle. It varies what style they want to set. So SURPRISE SURPRISE we have it in Malaysia for the first time. Now first up, registration time is 10-11....and its TOO DAMN EARLY to start dancing like hell. Dancers gonna say "It's never too early to dance" and ill say screw you, its a Saturday. It's like the LAW not to wake up early on a weekend.


It's held in Sunway Giza and i can tell you for sure, there were at least 100 over dancers or more.

Now there were 3 categories to go through, Hip hop, Bboy and Freestyle. and I kid you not, freestyle had a 100 dancers registered, Hip hop had 70-80 and bboy only had 30.

It was crazy long! and too early for me to like it...i was still half asleep when i got there. 




Dancers weren't the most glamorous people i can say.


If you would like to know, I didn't even made it through the auditions. Only 8 people were chosen from among the categories. AND 8 over a 100 dancers is pretty slim chance. 


I only manage to take two pictures with the judges. 

This is Maika from rushball. She's from Japan and she's only 15 and she's already competed in international competitions. Talk about asian skills bro.

Yup that's her. There are other judges such as Marcus Tucker, Bboy Full Deck and other guest but these two is the only one i manage to take pics with.

Event update, dance, dance, food, dogs.

Whatsup guys, before i start to talk about today's post,


THE NAME DACHEESAYUNICORN

is just a name and nothing else. I do not fancy unicorns, if i could i would eat one as i was told it's meat prolongs life and if you turn its horn into dust and sprinkle over your head, you'll have an Afro. Now today's post is about upcoming events for this week. There will be Dance events, dance workshops, wasabi, coffee and citrus burger event (yes, no kidding burgers) and  me emcee-ing for someone's wedding and yes I'm also an emcee by profession. By the way, finish reading this post and I'll have a cute lil surprise for you guys. 
First event for this weekend would be the RAYDIO DANCE ACADEMY free dance workshop. That's right , "FREE" , but that's not the main focus here. It's the fact that Raydio dance academy owned by one "Raymond Baggyhead" a famous popper in Malaysia is using this opportunity to spread the dance culture and he's often the Emcee for various dance events. Wana know who's the owner of this dance academy? The link to his video is just right below this sentence.

As you can see they have various dance styles offered for free to be learnt. And they take into consideration for the kids and today's trend of K-pop (No you will not get to learn to do the Gangnam style or MOTHER FATHER GENTLEMEN) . Unfortunately many of the classes are full but if you're still interested you can contact them through the picture's contacts which is given. 


Next up, on the 20th and 25th of May there's gonna be a dance party and a dance competition coming up, so for any of my readers who are dancers these are the events you should go.
First IS :



Thats right, the picture says it all, well not really. This mixer night is going to be held at Help's University and its a great opportunity to get to meet people and dance related fun activities to be held, Come on, how often would we get dance parties in Malaysia hmm? and the interesting part is their theme which is " THE HOOD" so you get to go all GHETTO or gangsta with your dressings and call everyone "dawg" like randy from American Idol. and have shiny silver or gold teeth with huge ass necklaces and blings blings.

Now for the 25th of May ladies and gentlemen is this



What is this you may ask? Dance@live is a dance competition which has been held all around the world, such as Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan , Japan and Korea. They hold competitions of various type such as 1 versus 1 battles or 4 versus 4 or many other styles. They hold battles for hip hop, bboy, wacking and many more and for the first time this dance competition will be held in MALAYSIA! hopefully no blackout half way, who knows what the results maybe. *Politics pun intended*.
The venue of the place will be held in Sunway Giza! which actually isn't in sunway area at all!

Now the last event for this post. DUM DUM DUM! food related this time.



Yup yup for any of my fellow sunway students this is a burger event by the culinary arts course. Now there's the normal burgers and there's the really interesting one which heck I'm interested to try.




Right now they're having a promotion but before that the premium burgers are the usual burgers you get nowadays but cooked by talented chef of the culinary arts course. I should know, my close friend is one of them. But for the gourmet is the really interesting ones. The kamikaze is wasabi burger, the coffee lover well doesn't take a genius to know what kind of burger is that and the tender tangy which i am going for, its citrus flavored burger. Now we all know these aren't the most usual flavors for the burger but if you're feeling adventurous try them out. As of right now, if you were to purchase a set from them for example if you get a gourmet set now, they'll only charge 9.90 which you'll have chips and a smooth passion fruit drink!

THE FIRST OF MANY POST-TES-SES....I HAS BAD ENGRISH

WELCOME LADIES AND GENTS TO THE FIRST POST OF DA CHEESAY UNICORN BLOG

Now before you ask tons of question, i can say for sure this is just the beginning of this blog, so there's tons of things that are left out and yet to be added, like a sense of humor. Now for the first post of this blog I went to "Borders" in the curve to cover the event  "Comics Are Cool!" event. Yes its a comic event.

The events laid out as can see, filled with Space marine painting, droid hunts, lucky draws and oh! With any simple purchase you get a free comic book. I GOT MINE BY BUYING A PEN :3. Anyways, at the entrance of Border's, would you believe it? THEY HAVE THE RED POWER RANGER PRESENT and owh, batman. 

He's resisting the urge to have a background explosion if he moves. 

 As i move into Borders, on the right i saw this. 

And before i knew it, (I'm a huge star wars fan by the way), this was Vader's first. The infamous 501st storm trooper legion. Now just a brief introduction on what the 501st Malaysian outpost (Outpost is the term for a group with less than 20 troops or people and if more its called a garrison like in Singapore) do is they present themselves at events and raise funds for charity, now all the pictures you see in my blog are custom made uniforms or legitimate costumes all the way from the states. 

Apparently telling them you're the droid their looking for is a bad idea.

No child support? No problem!

Now you're probably wondering, where them Jedi's at? I want to see those blue, peace loving, sword wielding hippies with the hoods. Apparently the 501st (true to its name) is only the Imperial Faction soldiers. There's suppose to be a Sith (Dark jedi) at the event, but he's celebrating mothers day. awwwww. Now not just anyone can join the famous 501st. You actually have to have a proper, legit costume and apply for a membership in the states. If your costume is accepted you'll receive a membership according to your costume class. Like officers, storm troopers and Tie fighter pilots. For this event they are raising funds to the charity of HOPE. If you guys are interested in bringing hope and changing lives, here's the link bellow

There were many events going on. The one which of course i wasn't prepared for,  was the Droid Hunt. See they gonna give you this tag. And simply you just have to hide around Borders  (which was two floors) from them Imperials. I on the other hand wasn't caught by an Imperial. I was caught BY A LITTLE BOY, a spy he said.......damn ye bad guys! 
BTW IF YOU GUYS WANT TO CATCH THE 501ST IN ACTION, THEY'LL BE IN HELP UNIVERSITY FOR THE "C2AGE" EVENT SO GO FIND THEM :D I'm bad at advertising. 

After that, those who joined got a free lucky draw. I got a comic book. 500 PAGE COMIC BOOK of the FANTOooom stranger (phantom stranger) which was given by the loving ladies from the HOPE charity.

He was hungry for more dat poor lil child
